NOTICE: DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS EPISODE OF GOTMEAD LIVE IS BEING CANCELLED. I’LL KEEP YOU UP TO DATE.

February 16, 2016 – Today we’re talking with Petar Bakulic (Oskaar), president of the Mazer Cup International Mead competition and Mead Mixer public pour. The Mazer Cup is the largest mead-only competition in the world, and is in it’s 8th year this year. The competition is held in March and this year is March 18-19, at the Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield, CO.

The Mazer Cup International is extremely fast growing, and is dedicated to providing knowledge about mead and a venue where both home and professional mead-makers alike can join together to enjoy great mead, judge the top meads in the world, and share their mead with those who might not know as much about it.

They also donate a portion of every year’s proceeds to the Community Food Share, a local charity. Long term, the MCI hopes to become much more than a competition and tasting, with classes, a trade show, and who knows?
