It really is the next best thing to being here! Of course, the best thing (getting to sample all those meads, and a chance to talk one on one with more expert meadmakers than you'll likely find in any other single place at any other time), is better! ;)
 
Yeah, I know, I know, I'd love to be there. But I hate to fly and don't have time to drive, and it's not over spring break. :)

Some day I'll get myself there and volunteer my time and meet'ch'all in the flesh, God willing!
 
Thursday is Cesar Chavez day, all you need to do is be "sick" on Friday. ;) Course my wife didn't go for that idea either, but hey it's worth a try.
