Ok, how many batches do you have in progress, and wh3.at size batch?


Currently I have 3 3.5 gallon batches in progress with enough honey to start 2 more batches.

On a side note is a mead in progress untill its finished fermenting and is "drinkable" OR
Is a mead in progress untill its ready to be drunk?

so far i just have my five gallon batch of cysler, but i want to start a batch of anchient orange soon :)

Okay, here's what we've got going thus far:
5 gallons chocolate raspberry coffee mead
5 gallons vanilla meth,
3 gallons of guava mel,
3 gallons clover sweet traditional,
9 gallons of orangeblossom sweet,
6 gallons of cinnamon meth (still degassing and ready to bottle),
5 gallons lemonade mel,
6 gallons tupelo sweet.
5 gallons blueberry aging right now,
3 gallons apple pie cyser,
1 gallon oops mead (wasn't supposed to ferment but oh well),
1 gallon cyser.

I think that's it...

Holy cow ScottS! You are 4 gallons away from your yearly household limit and it's only the middle of Jan.!!! Man I wish I had the space for some 15-20 gal batches. Or just more 3-6 gallon batches for that matter.

I checked the law just to be sure - that 200 gals is the annual production limit, not the annual possession limit. ;D Though if you don't tell anyone, I did go over the production limit last year if you include the beer I made. :-\

According to one interpretation of the law, you can officially make 200 gallons of beer AND 200 gallons of wine/mead a year calendar year...

But like I said, that's only one interpretation from someone who says they spoke with the feds about this directly. I have no reason to disbelieve him, but I do have reason to err on the side of caution simply because law is interprative by whomever reads it...
