If you're going to use a batch builder or TOSNA protocol it's best to use as close to exactly what they recommend as possible, as that's what the research has been done using, and any substitution may have consequences.
That said, I routinely use DAP and "yeast energizer" because that's what's easiest for me to obtain, over the years I've been using less DAP and more "energizer" (which is my brew store's generic answer to Fermaid K, or may in fact be repackaged Fermaid K) and I use DAP only very early on in the fermentation. I'm only just starting to get into using GoFerm and Fermaid O and need to do some side-by-side experiments to see if I find much difference in the end product, but wih my initial forays, I haven't been too impressed by the ease of use so far. I might need to start with some fresh product, as it's been a while since my last batch.
Some things may be scientifically to be better than others, but using something like DAP is still likely to give you better results than using nothing at all to feed your yeast. Bottom line is do what works for you.
