I recently decided just to try making a show mead. About two weeks ago I used 4 lbs of clover honey, Lalvin K1-V1116 yeast (best suited Mels, I wanted to rack in a month into some blueberrys and maybe half or whole Vanilla bean) and some energizer and nutrient. It's bubbled and there's activity inside, but it has never foamed. I had a small brain fart while brewing it. I put the yeast in the must without cooling it too much first...So, I'm a little worried about that. Not entirely sure what else could be going on. I'm also not sure if this is uncommon for show meads or not.

What is the gravity now, and is it dropping?

Have you considered adding the fruit now? That will aid fermentation, and since adding fruit means it isn't going to be a Show Mead anyway, there is little to lose.
