Bentonite not setting more than halfway?

Hi all! First post here. I added bentonite to clear up but it seems to not be setting after a couple days. Has this happened to anyone else?

Did you cold-cash it and then rack off the rough lees first? And then added the mud? Or was the batch really dirty because you didn't rack it at all?
