Well, I got one half gallon growler and one 750ml of nice clear mead. I doubt it will last long enough to become crystal clear. A month or two plus a cold crash would probably do the trick. And near the bottom I hit a little sediment and put that in the clear old time whiskey bottle to see if a good cold crash will clear it up now. With all that headspace it's not going to do well aging any significant length of time so the prudent thing to do is clear it up and drink it.
I was pleased with the amount of relatively clear mead I got from the gallon. I estimate no more than one wineglass remains in the dregs.
