At the point of bottling... How much priming sugar should I use for 5 gallons? I used 15lbs Alfaalfa Flower honey, White Labs Sweet Mead Yeast WLP720. On second racking now, and it has tasted sweet and very drinking each racking. Aiming to bottle and drink by end of June.

Carbonation isn't something you should decide on at the end of the batch... if you've made a mead that is still sweet (has not used up all sugars in the must), you shouldn't carbonate the batch: either the yeast has reached its alcohol limit and it won't carbonate no matter how much priming sugar you add, or the yeast has NOT reached its limit and you will essentially overprime your must which will result in having no control over how much cabonation is actually produced so you cannot safely bottle it without the risk of bottle bombs.

Could you explain the rest of your recipe? What was your starting gravity, what is the gravity right now? Did you use nutrients or energizer? Did you check the pH?

I see this is your first post, so I know nothing of your brewing history... if this is your first batch and you don't have a hydrometer, it might be better to plan your next batch for carbonation and just keep this one still.

I pretty much feel that if someone has to ask they are not experienced to be trying this yet.
