We've been hearing tornado sirens all evening here in south central Alabama area...and getting information there's going to get lots more tonight, ...it doesn't look too good...plenty of them over in MIssissippi. Possible injuries here in the county...

It's over with in my area, though to the east there's still a little activity. I don't think I've seen that many warnings since the April 2011 outbreak. They were spitting out warnings one after another it seems. Our rural civil defense sirens were steadily sounding off. One weatherman stated that it looked like it was going to be a Christmas Miracle...so far no fatalities and not too much damage...some over-turned mobile homes, some roofs blown off, etc.,. I know some folks to the south and to the north of me that are without power but our's never flickered. It's really amazing that few tornadoes actually touched down...there were warnings overlapping each other three and four deep in areas.

Glad it's over with, and thanks for the well wishes,
Ed
