Does anyone have any links or info on establishing a church
that produces mead or wine? Someone told me that in the State of Missouri there is a law on the books that is old but still effective and that is you just have to be an ordained minister to brew and sell wine with just a permit.
I just do'nt know how to go about looking up this information. I have tried to do searches but I have not come up with anything yet.

Best Regards,

And here I was thinking from the other angle: WE should start the church of mead. I would make Mass at mead church every week. :tongue3:

Wow... imagine having a huge church-type kitchen to work in, industrial refrigerators, and a cellar! Every service, people can bring their favorite recipes in. Across the week, the staff compiles the ingredient lists for said recipes, and puts out the call in the next week's handout. The following week, BREW!

Services all begin with the tasting of cellared meads that are having their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd anniversary. Certain special days are reserved for the brewing of massive batches of "church stock." Certain other special days are reserved for the tasting of 5+ and 10+ year old meads.

The church grounds are available for beekeepers and are heavily flowered to ensure a constant supply of fresh wildflower honey. The church owns a panel truck for the transport of hives. We partner with and contribute heavily to local fruit producers and beekeepers. Our halls and kitchens are open on weekdays to members of the congregation and local brew clubs.

It would be so beautiful...
