At what temp will my must freeze? My deep freeze is zero degrees F. The reason I ask is that I have little room in my refrigerator and a lot of room in my deep freeze.

Depends on the ABV. The alcohol will lower the freezing point a bit, but 0F is probably cold enough to do it regardless. I wouldn't leave it in there too long, especially if you're using a glass carboy filled to capacity.

Wizard said it right. You could probably be fine if you are set just under freezing to keep everything else frozen. If your "must" is unfermented that changes everything. It's the alcohol that will keep you from freezing. The stronger the lower the temps can go. If it's just unfermented must it will freeze like water will.

....

And leave a really gooey mess in the freezer if it pushes out of the carboy/jug. (Personal experience)

Yep. Leave some expansion space for sure

Well, it sounds like a bad idea, so I will make room in the refrigerator. Thanks!

I've got it at 35 degrees now. I am planning to leave it there a month before I rack it off and stabilize it.
