Dunno if it's of any use Wayne, but here's the link to my very unscientific review of the 4 I tried last year. I might add, that my pallet is inexperienced when it comes to meads really as they're not that easy to locate and can be quite expensive. Though as a bit of a guide to my idea of "good" wines, I tend to buy quite "heavy" bordeaux and burgundy's. One of the few labels you might have heard of is "Chateau neuf du pape". Most of those that I've tasted have been good, as have the "Margaux".

Oh, and here is where I managed to find those meads - so you'd have to be somewhere in the London/South East region to be able to get there (easily).....

Thanks, FB! This is excellent info. If you're reasonably sure that your page will stay up for the indeterminate future we're happy to have the link. Your perspective on UK meads (regardless of where you think your palate stacks up against more "seasoned" mead drinkers) is very valuable!

It's from my home brew blog, which covers 90% of what I make/have made so it should be fine.....

I only add once a month or so (if that sometimes). Hell, if anyone's over and likely to be in the "Central South Coast" they can always PM me and if I can, we might be able to hook up (obviously, that usually means on a weekend - I'm not normally available during the week, cos of work......when I'm not stuck at home with a broken wrist as I am at the moment.......see current blog for picture ;D )
