Wow, good to know. Now of course like a complete noodge, I'll go out and mix some Acti-ML up and rub it on my skin to see if I break out. Damn, I hate experimenting on myself!

Cheers,

Oskaar

Taking one for the team! What a guy....I have some benydril if you need it.

I would laugh at you, but then I know a certain really dumb Californian (and supposed Berkeley alum no less) who went to grad school in Ohio, and when she heard her first tornado warning on the radio did she find a safe place to hunker down? Nooooo, of course not. She was really dumb, remember? She went to the window to see if she could see it from her apartment.

I'm not mentioning names, mind, but it is someone I know really well and spend a lot of time with, if you catch my drift. Ahem.

But do let us know how your little "test" comes out. The scientific community honors your noble sacrifice and will no doubt award you with the Madam Curie Medal for Sacrificial Scientists--posthumously, if need be.

I would avoid it. I lost skin, got blisters... It's probably scar. Plus, all that aside, it hurts like hell.

What salts/minerals do they put in that?

And if you look up their material warning sheet it says:
"May cause irritation on prolonged contact."
"Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wear protective
equipment described in Section VIII if exposure conditions warrant. Wash thoroughly
after handling."

I forgot the last part....

My own fault.

Yet again I've proven to myself that I'm the walking dead. No reaction, nothing, not even some subtle redness.

That's it, I'm quitting my job and going on the hunt for brains!

Braaaaaaaaaaains!

My error was not realizing what had happened until I touched someplace sensitive, and then left it there for hours....

If I had realized, and washed it off quick...

Another reason to not drink while meading...

That's all right, Jenn. I even know some Ohio natives who used to run outdoors with every tornado warning to see what, if any, funnel clouds were about! ;)

I think that would be breaking some Federal law--or at least Charlie Papazian's famous Maxim. :)

Oskaar, obviously you've attained an enviable resistance to brewing chemicals after so many generations of your family dabbling in it. But as my sainted mother used to say, I'm sure it'll kill you...it might take another 50 years, but it'll get you in the end. Until then, watch the braaaaaaains--prions and all, you know. :)

Wayne: I'll pass your comment on to my, errrr, "friend." I'm sure she'll feel just as dumb as she did before, but at least she'll know she's not alone in that room. ;)

So...back on topic, how's the wine coming along? :)
