I just racked my first mead, all went well except I noticed theres an eye lash sitting at the top of my must. Will this not pose any problems or should I remove it?
Good thing it is not a rabbit, much worse. It all depends on how you view the eyelash. If you take a racking cane and tightly close the top and lower it to right over the offending object and take your thumb off the top. This should suck the hair into the cane and you can close the top tightly and remove the hairy sample. I have too much time on my hands and if I could see it, I would have to remove it myself. What would others think!
