I do and haven't used it yet. For mead production. I need to break it out.
Is it wrong that I use a mixture of Argon and CO2 to blanket my mead? Yes, it's welding gas. I have it on hand and it's inert.

Argon or Argon/CO2 blends are actually even better than CO2 alone for blanketing purposes, since Argon will not dissolve into your mead. The only issue I might have with welding gases is their purity. Although they should be virtually identical to the medical or food grade stuff (since most gas distributors essentially fill tanks from a common source), medical and food grade gases are certified to a certain level of purity.
Wayne, I asked my gas supplier about that. It earned me an odd look, but he assured me of the purity of the gas; it's necessary to the purity of the weld.
