Does anyone know of any sites that auction off Mead? I've found a ton of them that will do wine only...... No I'm not in the USA and don't need to worry about "bootlegging" as a the uninformed I've talked to love to mention. (sounds like they're been watching too many episodes of moonshiners lol) Been making mead for a decade or so now and a few college friends were asking if I've ever thought of selling some of my stock. I've also been told by a couple well informed folks that a bunch of my old bottles that I'd give away as presents wound up in "hole in the wall establishments frequented by the elite" and there's a $70 markup per bottle. If that doesn't want to make a guy go comercial, I don't know what will. :) Sadly they refused to give up their source as to which establishments...

Yeah according to the fine print I'll need to obtain a liquor license once I'm producing 3000 gallons per annum; and/or making a bare minumum of $30000/annum. As always thats the EASY part, hard part if the venues to sell at. I'm soo laughably below either legal threshhold I do not yet need to worry.

Heh, I've got a similar problem here but from the other end of the product - to open a meadery, I need to own and operate over a hundred hives! And I can't sell anything legally ever unless I'm licensed...

heh gave me a funny picture if you live in the city ;-) just imagine what the neighbors might say if they lived next to you.... lol :)

Well, urban beekeeping is becoming a thing these days, and would probably even be good in my area because the city's banned pesticide use, but I think my neighbours might have something to say about it and I'm sure my condominium board wouldn't approve :)
