Slate.com is a food website, like an online Food and Wine magazine. I am in a food/travel/writing class now and got curious about published articles/reviews of mead, so I did a google search for Food and Wine mead. And I got this article on Slate.com

Gotmead is actually mentioned on here, as are a few other things we all know. I think it was unfortunate how the article ended up, but give it a read yourselves and see what you think, if you didn't see it when it came out last year that is.

I couldn't find any mead articles in Food and Wine magazine, but I thought it could be a really good thing for mead if it was mentioned in the magazine, and if it was brought to the forefront as a legitimate drink, not just something drank at Ren. Fairs. Maybe someone who has some weight around here could maybe try to get something going with a well-known magazine?
 
Well its to bad in my humble opinion that the guy that wrote this article had or has no idea what good Mead really is or where to get it from. I for one have completely replaced wine with Mead at all of my gatherings. Maybe some Medovina Sweet Melissa or Stinging Rose mead might have changed his mind. (Just tried these meads and they are fantastic)

Hey osluder thanks for pointing me in the direction of that thread, I suppose I should have done a search for 'slate' but it didn't occur to me. I suppose there is no point for this one anymore.

I don't really know what kind of a site slate.com is, but I was told it was a food site.
