Full/Part Time Position to Hire for: Assistant Mead Maker
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: 2yr or 4 yr. degree in winemaking related degree program (Fermentation Science, Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry)
Work Experience: laboratory, or winemaking support position
Compensation: $ depending on experience.
Job Description:
*Wine Making Software: Amphora Wine Log Pro
*Create and Input Work Orders and track all cellar logs.
*Help craft best practices for all cellar activities
*Oversee laboratory protocols
*Procurement and Logistics for all Meadery supplies
*Monitoring of all mead lots, operate a forklift.
*Supervise cellar crew and assign cellar work.
*Work with mead maker in Meadery on blending, and bottling decisions.
*Represent the Moonstruck Meadery brands to the public and to the trade.
Required Skills
*Impeccable attention to detail
*Strong Organization skills
*Good Communication skills, with mead maker and cellar staff
*Good mead palate with the ability to pick out mead flaws.
*Strong Science background a plus
