I happen to be a fan of spiced meads, especially those with 'holiday spices'. This one lived up to my expectations.
This mead was a medium-sweet, and contained flavors from cinnamon, ginger, allspice and a few things I wasn't sure of. The aroma of this mead was interesting, giving first the honey, then a warming smell of the various spices, with cinnamon being dominant (but not too dominant).
It had good body, not thin or overly thick. The mouth feel started out sweet, and then went to a spicy, slightly acidic flavor, and ended a bit tart. The spice flavor did not overwhelm the honey, but seemed to be well-balanced. I detected a very slight off flavor from the sulfites, not unusual. It wasn't offputting, just slightly noticible. I don't use sulfites, so I notice them in other beverages.
All in all, I give this one 87-90 out of 100. If you like spiced meads, this one is an excellent choice.
