Hi all,
Just checking my numbers and recipe. I want a very sweet mead and plan to backsweeten with fruit/honey after initial fermentation. I will be starting 2 x 1gal batches. One wil be apple cinnamon and one will be strawberry.
1 gal total volume
3 pounds honey
OG 1.108
Yeast started with Goferm.
Nutrient protocol TOSNA 2.0 with Fermaid O
Once the ferment is over Ill stabilize the meads before starting to backsweeten.
I would like some help with the backsweeten.
I would like a very sweet to sweet final product. How many apples / cinnamon do I need to add and how many strawberries do I need to add. I would also like a good taste of honey so I guess I need to add some honey too.
Any suggestions would be great!
