I just had this last week. I am not much of a Sam Adams drinker. They make great beer but just not to my tastes, I like the more aggressive American approach to beer. But I picked up one of their Brewmaster Select 6er's and wow that honey porter is terrific. The six pack also came with their Brown Ale another great beer and the Black Lager, A beer I could do with out.
The honey porter had nice honey notes to it in the taste, nose, and finish. A well crafted beer. I wish they sold this in 6 packs, as far as I know the mixed six pack is the only way to buy it.
Some of the local breweries have done honey porters but none of them could compare to this one.
