Yesterday, I made a few one gallon batches. In the one, I used three gallons of wildflower honey, two cinnamon sticks, two vanilla beans, and mint from the garden. Unlike my other batches yesterday, the only thing that got heated was the mint (I brought it to a boil in one cup of water then added the entire contents of the pot to the must). About 17 hours after pitching the yeast, there is good fermentation, but there is a layer of sediment sticking to the side of the fermenter above the water level. I assume that this is just the yeast, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't anything bad, seeing as nothing was heated besides the mint. Also, if it is the yeast, do I need to find a way to get that sediment back down into the liquid?
I tried to upload a picture of it, but I kept getting a message saying I was over the max file size, even though I was well below it. I couldn't even upload a word doc. with just one letter typed in it because of its "size." I could always send it in an email if anybody needs it. Any-who, any help would be greatly appreciated!
