This fly/wasp was probably imported from South America to fight fire ants. The beekeeping commercial industry collapsed after this parasite was introduced but no connection was made. Now the fly is showing up all over the country. Time alone will tell how important this is. They are supposedly not the cause of Colony Collapse disorder. I am watching as I believe I have seen the fly in one of my apiaries. The Guvmint is always there to help!
