Some time ago, the most excellent WayneB posted about a nice, easy yeast nutrient regime.

I've spent a good amount of time searching this afternoon and I'll be damned if I can find it.

I seem to recall the post suggested X amount of DAP, Y amount of FermaidK, then split in half and a batch dosed after lag and again at the 1/3rd break.

Does anyone have a link to the post, or remember what thread it was posted under ?

I did find a link to Hightest's nutrient .pdf, but that seems different to what I'm thinking of, hence trying to find Waynes post about this.....

Ah, but there are some of us too financially challenged to become Patrons...

Well I do understand that money is tight for everyone these days, but $25 is the cost for making 1.5 gallons of mead. That's a pretty small price to pay to get access to some great info while supporting this wonderful site at the same time.

I'm on a really tight budget, but the $25 is worth every penny!!! Think of it as buying the best mead book available (Sorry Ken, you know I recommend your book to everyone). The info available in the Patron section is invaluable and the Patrons Recipe sections are filled with award winning tried and true meads.

Well I managed to get enough info to work out what I needed to know from the post Medsen linked (tvm Medsen), but it wasn't the post I was thinking of.

The post I was thinking about was more of a "rule of thumb" type post that alluded to an approximation thing - it may have also alluded to the ratio of DAP and Fermaidk to work out how much of the mix is appropriate per gallon.......

I don't know, maybe I'm imagining things from the mountain of stuff I've read........
