Just wanted to share about this sugar I've been using lately in case anybody has wondered about it. It tastes like you bit into a fresh harvested piece of sugar cane. It's also the least expensive sugar option at our Walmart.

Nowhere on the package does it say pasteurized, only evaporated cane juice. Due to that I've heated it on the stove for a bit before using. I wrote to the company to find out but no reply yet.

So far, so good with two batches of 100% juice wines and I started a plain sugar wash with it yesterday at one cup per quart x 3 for a gallon jar batch, just to see what it tastes like by itself when finished.
