The much anticipated 2nd release of the B. Nektar Bourbon Barrel Mead is less than 2 months away. We're anticipating a November release. Make sure you're on our newsletter/twitter/facebook so you hear the news once its available.

B. Nektar ships to all states except WV, and are currently distributed in MI, ME, and MA.

Brad
I had this at the Mazer cup last year it was a great mead. I have been waiting for the release for a while, more mead shipping here to Colorado cant wait.
Thanks for the update.
Steve

If there is a batch at Bnektar that I was waiting for this is the one............ WOOT I hope to be there too skunk. Sounds like a mead swap is in effect!

I had the spare cash and purchased a bottle of B. Nektar Bourbon Barrel Mead today. I'm not sure if it is from this batch or a different batch, or if that is relevant. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to best enjoy this (temp, glassware, food)?

Thank you

Can you ship internationally Brad (to UK) ?

And also provide it in 375ml bottles (thinking about keeping costs of shipping down etc) ?

p.s. and this is because I keep reading about your products here at Gotmead, but like the idea of trying some of them........

They ship using 'winebuys.com' I think. I emailed them. They wont ship to Australia, so I doubt they'll ship to the UK
Perhaps if enough of us petition Brad, he might do a special international mailout, just for us.

Any idea what it would cost to ship to the UK or AUS?

At the moment no, but I could easily get a quote to ship from here to you and see...

It really depends on who you use to send your packages. I've seen shipping for a book from the US as low as $3.50 and as high as $300.00
Shipping from the US is one of the most irritating things for a netshopper in AUS. as many places offer free shipping withing the US, but charge $300 to send it over here. I could courier 4 parcels personally as takeon baggage on a plane for that much!

Freight forwarders would ship a wine bottle to me 4"x4"x12" - 2lbs for $40. and 4 bottles for $80, or a case for $220
They use DHL express delivery 3 day turn around.

I would therefore think this was the higher end of shipping costs.
Well I don't know the weight for a 375ml bottle or 750ml bottle, but found (by getting stuff sent from a friend in Oklahoma), that by far, the cheapest method was to send stuff via USPS.

But does it depend on those damn silly, state dependant, posting alcohol regulations for USPS to handle it? Or would it have to be one of the "big boys" (DHL/UPS etc etc) as they're less tied by those daft rules that some states have?

Cos I'd just like to taste some, but certainly don't want to put anyone to any hassle to ship it (or have to pay a fortune to get it shipped)....

regards (hopefully)

p.s. and no, I wouldn't have a clue where to look or find out whether Michigan is one of the states that doesn't allow international shipping of alcohol products......
