Proof that the 1:10 Vinegar:Water method works for the painted on labels. This is just 24 hours later with a light rub with a chucks cloth. The rest comes off pretty easily with something more abrasive. The bottom of that label does seem difficult to completely remove... and that shadow CrystalSitral mentioned is barely there on some bottles... but nothing I doubt another soak wouldn't fix. Took me about a minute a bottle with this after the soak.
Boiling to soften the glue and paper. Once the paper is gone goo gone to remove glue. A razor blade helps.
Wet slippery bottles and razor blades sounds like an invitation to the ER (that's casualty unit for those on the other side of the pond).
