About pets! I found out today that alcohol can be toxic to dogs. (My dogs are both ok after there taste BUT THAT IS THE LAST THEY WILL EVER GET!)
Something to keep in mind.
Mel W.

Hey melw, glad to hear your dogs are ok. Not much of a dog fan myself but I hate to see animals suffer in any way.

As for the toxicity to dogs (or any other pet for that matter), I don't believe that alcohol is any more toxic to them than it is to...say...humans. Nature is ripe with animals in the wild getting trashed on naturally rotting/fermenting fruit (an image of drunken elephants from and old Nat Geo show comes to mind) and most animals have some ability to deal with alcoholic intake. You are right however, the amount that is toxic is what gets most people's pets in trouble. 1 can of beer to a dog is a large amount compared to a human. It never hurts to mention it if for no other reason to keep it in people's minds.
