I came across this while reading today,

Having been a fan of Sci-Fi since I was a kid, well younger kid, reading news ike this fuel's the imagination. With a cell that makes electricity from sugar in the blood, does this bring us closer to a time when cybernetics and mechanical replacement part become common place?

The new fuel cell, intended to fuel biological implants without the problem of producing
toxic substances, draws from blood sugar, which is glucose.

Glucose is also a primary sugar in honey.
