So I picked this mead up about 2 weeks ago, have yet to taste it. I did a search on the forum and it looks like I am the first to get it. I have been thinking of sitting on it for a while. Now that I am making this post I have read the label a little more carefully. So here it is.
Amiad Winery
Mead
Honey wine
11% abv
Produced and bottled by Hills of Galilee Winery, Kibbutz Amiad Israel
The back of the label says it was made from Galilee citrus-flower.
Retail $15.99
So anyone taste this yet? I will post after I taste it, when ever my wife is ready to. I have a poor tasting desriptor vocabulary. Well I guess I have the vocab I just have trouble putting what I taste into words.
But I am thinking of putting it up for a year or two.
It looks terrifc and has a simple yet elegant label. Part of the reason I bought it. The other reason was I had already tasted all the other mead they had to offer and I wasn't going to buy any of it again. Plus I don't think I have had anything produced in Israel before. Looking forward to this, maybe for my B-day.
