Just wondering what the variations on this theme may be. Up till now, I piously followed Joe Matioli's instructions without deviation, but tonight I added a 400-gm. package of thawed-out, frozen rapberries to a new AO must. Those wild yeasts on the berries moved fermentation along very quickly.
I have seen a recipe for blueberry melomel made the same way as Joe's AO recipe; with baker's yeast that is. Now I'm curious to know of other variations.
