I was reading today a recipe for making Root Beer and was surprised it used yeast and there is a slight alcohol content to root beer. You would have to drink like 2 gallons to equal one beer and you would puke first and go into diabetic shock but it's there. So my question is would it be possible to make a Root Beer Mead or Root Beer; Beer with a higher alcohol content. It sounds interesting to have something that tastes like Root Beer with the carbonation and be like 12% alcohol. I'm thinking it can't be done or it would have already been tried any suggestions?

If you use the search tool in the menubar between help and people you can just type in root beer and you'll see a recipe and brewlog if I remember correctly.

cheers,

Oskaar
