I'm looking to add fruit to some mead. I don't want to have to boil or pasteurize it, more for convenience than anything. (No-boil mead is so much faster than hours of standing over hot beer wort.
) If I get a bag of frozen fruit, can I consider it "clean"? That is, if I throw some honey, water, and yeast at it, will it be ok? Or will there be some little bugs that survived the freezing process that will foul my mead-to-be?
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
