Well, it does make it hard to share it that way ;D

However, speaking from a history of longstanding battle with yeast myself (and I'm not talking the stuff I buy in packets and beg to do work for me), I'm glad the antifungals worked for him. I might as well have been eating tic-tacs, diet or no. My yeast and I now have a working agreement, if it doesn't get all out of control, I don't hit it with the probiotics that eat yeast... been tempted for years to try some K1V to overtake my wild yeasties, and then sulphite and sorbate myself (no, I won't do this, if K1V was gonna take over, it already would have, I've ingested enough of it over the years and I do recognize that I am not a carboy)...

Of course you're not. You're a carGIRL.

The reason this article caught my eye was that I have a problem similar to this guy.

Carbs knock me out. It hasn't always been that way. But for the past two and a half years, if I have more than about 50 grams (about 2 slices of bread) in an eight hour period, its like someone hit me with a tranquilizer dart.

I don't get sleepy, I get... dopey, is the best way to describe it. Confusion, dissociation, inability to focus. And before you think it, let alone have a chance to type it, no, its not 'sleepy'. I worked a 10 hour day every day with this, and not once did I yawn. Never did I feel like I wanted to lay my head down for just a minute.

Its still unresolved. I've been tested for just about everything. I've seen every kind of specialist except for a podiatrist (chiropodist, for those of you across the pond), and I KNOW there's nothing wrong with my feet.

SOME of the effects are like alcohol intoxication. So yeah, this article caught my eye. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), that ain't it.

Oh well, life goes on. I wanna get a buzz on... now here's them cupcakes? ;)

I can't imaging not being able to eat carbs. I have tried to cut back and it is VERY difficult for me. I am susceptible to benedryl and some other antihistamines. I have tried half of a kid's dose and been numb in the head for a day. Having that reaction for a piece of bread would be hell for me.

You must have some funky yeast in your gut that turns the yeast into pot or something. If you could isolate and sell that, you could be the the next drug overlord.

I think I'd be more worried about insulin resistance/diabetes if you get dopey with carbs (although I'm sure the docs have checked that). I have a diabetic friend who gets pretty loopy when he forgets his shot or overdoes it on the carbs...
