Even small volume meads benefit from nutrients, but you can scale down the amount of Fermaid K if you are following a recipe for a larger amount. The GoFerm is based on the weight of the yeast pitched (1.25 g GoFerm per gram of yeast) so it will not change with the size of the fermentation if you are pitching the same size packet of yeast.

I'm a mead nub, so I'm doing five 1 gallon tests with sage, orange blossom, wildflower, clover, and basswood (pitching d-47) so that I can get a feel for some different honeys before I start getting creative.
I've also got 12 lbs of wildflower and 12 lbs of sage honey, along with a big old tart cherry tree in the backyard. Searching for a recipe now.... (if you have any to suggest, go for it
