It is a lot easier to stir with some shiny copper tubing. To make it shiny, you can sanitize in some star-san or other acidic sanitizer.

I typically just rack with a copper scrub pad (from the grocery store) attached to the end of the racking cane. That usually works for me. You need surface area not mass.

So my interpretation of this has me thinking it only needs to pass by the copper scrub pad the copper does not have to sit in the mead for any extended amount of time, would this by an accurate assumption?
 
Roger that Medsen, i will try and find myself a copper scrubbie, don't remember seeing one last time i was there, shouldnt be an issue, if it is still foul in a few weeks i will be back on here...
