Do you guys fine or filter your apple cider? The must was quite cloudy and I didn't use pectinase.
I doubt it will finish clear but who knows.
I have a buon vino filter which is fine (heh) for wines or mead but I wonder if it would strip too much character from fresh pressed/fermented apple cider...

You can still use pectinase. If the haze is from pectin, filtering won't clear it completely. I add pectinase and mine drops clear on it own.

Better brewing through science!

Works better if added before, but still works after fermentation. It's just slower.

Most of the time my ciders and cysers clear up pretty nicely and the odd time they haven't, a hit of bentonite did the trick in 24 hours.

Pectinase doesn't work as well after as it does before, so you may need to double the amount for quicker results.
