First off is fishing line food grade? is there anything in it that will affect the mead? I want to tie a piece of line to my oak sticks so instead of fishing around for them i can just pull it out. any ideas on what i could use?

Unflavored dental floss or just some cotton thread would work better than fishing line, I think some of those have warnings about lead? WVMJ
