Hey all, I know there are some brewers and history nuts like myself here at gotmead. So I pose the question has anyone brewed a gruit ale? I have read some books and some websites. I've even been to a brewery that had brewed some but not with traditional herbs. And they didn't have any on hand.
I was just wondering how it turned out and what sort of chartaristics you had brewed it to have.
I was thinking of maybe a malty maybe smoked scoth ale style?
Any input would be great!

Hello Dan -- do a search for "Adam Larsen" and "gruit," and you should find a ton of information on gruit ales.
