Hi there,
I'm fairly new to brewing and just had a look at fourth batch, which made me worried.
I'm trying to make a Cyser, following this recipe:
www.homecidermaking.com
I've scaled it up times three, otherwise I've followed it exactly (within an error of 100 grams honey).
Everything went smoothly until now, about six weeks after starting. I opened it and saw white spots on the top of the mead. It doesn't look like mold as I know it, but maybe it is? Is my mead ruined?
See attached picture.
OG was 1.102, last measured SG was 1.002.
