Gl Dansk Mjod Mead
This is basically honey liquor (meaning honey and spirits). It "might" be a fortified mead (meaning a mead with spirits in it). It is not to my liking, and it tastes even stronger than it is, even though it is already quite strong. you may like it, not sure.
Iqhilika Honeysun Chile Mead
this is an interesting mead. Though I'm not sure you would like it. It is a methelgin, in which you can clearly feel the spicy notes. If I remember correctly it was quite dry.
Lurgashall Christmas Mead
Haven't tasted.
Lurgashall Tower of London Mead
This is a fortified mead, which is semi-sweet. Probably my favourite mead (they have much more awesome fruitwines though) from Lurgashall, but nothing spectacular.
Dansk Mjod Klapojster Mjod Mead
Tastes exactly the same as Gl Dansk Mjod Mead
Lurgashall English Mead
An okay mead, with some heavy sweet tones, without being overly sweet. It feels strange in a way for me, sort of like the residual honey is seperated from the rest of the mead. An okay drink, but not really my taste.
Jadwiga Polish Mead 6 Year Old
This mead you will love. Most people love it, and it's exactly your taste. I think I've drank it too many times to truly love it any more though. But it's a great mead, and in terms of price, possibly the "best find" you can make. At least if bought in Poland.
Wild Blossom various fruit meads. (not counting Sweet Desire)
I have tasted a few at IMF 2007, but I don't remember them clearly enough to tell you what I thought (there was a huge amount of meads to taste there). Basically though, they didn't make an impression on me, in the same way Sweet Desire did, which is up there in the list of candidates for best mead I ever tasted.
But since this brings back memories, I have to tell you of another mead featured at the festival that is on that list of best meads. That is Melia from Rabbit's Foot Meadery. This is another sweet mead, but only moderately sweet and low ABV. It's made from really high quality Orange Blossom honey. I don't think you would like it as much as Sweet Desire though, and they have around the same price. Because Melia despite being one of the best meads out there is svereally overpriced.
