A bit late as this was started 6 months ago, but it has been so good, I had to share. I put this next to the real thing and shamed it. Compared to the homemade stuff, Grand Marnier tastes like fake cheap candy. Cheers!


The zest of 8 organic Valencia oranges - no pith!
1 cup granulated white sugar
4 cups Armagnac de Montal VS brandy

In batches, combine sugar and zest with mortar and pestle. Pound until paste-like.

Mix in Armagnac and allow to stand 2-6 months.
Filter through a coffee filter 2x.

Delicious!
