How long can the must wait before pitching yeast?

I dissolved the honey in a pot and covered it with a lid. Then I went to rinse my demijohn, it slipped from my hand, broke and I cut myself.

As I do not have another demijohn, I put aside the dissolved honey with the lid on. My question is - can the must still be used? It is on temperature of stable 20 degrees C.

If it helps, the mead in question is JAO.
