How much honey for backsweetening?

I made a traditional orange blossom 6 gallon with 2.5#/gal, D47, stabilized a couple weeks ago.

I am hoping to backsweeten to 1.010 from dry. I don't feel like doing it stepwise and measuring gravities along the way. Is there an estimate of how much honey it will take per gallon to bring it up?

Then have a look at the value for additional sugars #1

Should give you 1.879 pounds of honey

Is that your preference? I'm on my 15th or so mead but only fifth big batch. I haven't tried to backsweeten any, instead opting for the "overwhelm the little biggers" approach of a huge OG. Works great for the Te'j BOMMs and the JAOMs but I figured I'd try a classic traditional orange blossom with a bit of backsweetening since it sounds like something of a gold standard if you'll forgive the pun.

If you did a Google search you would have learned a pound of honey would raise a gallon 35 points.

Now you can do the math for any size batch and any amount of increase.
