Count me in on the Club...download results from the Winemaker Mag Int'l Competition Mead Catagory. The Best of Show Mead for '07 was a '03 Sack Mead by Robert K. Moore, Shoreline, WA. Mead should be "What's for Dinner", on every table on this rock. Bee's need the overtime...Meadmakers will emerge to fill the bill! Honey will put stay in your stinger...hey guys, who needs a pill (50 billion drug market), after age and other medication take their toll, give me a glass of mead...mead does not have a 4 hour warning...it is over 4 hr accually. :pottytrain2: We could post a blurb in Winemaker's Mag about IMF competition too. We need to take Meadmaking out of the Closet, which is what this site is about...correct? :laughing4:
 
As I said in the Brewmasters' thread, Gotmead is a sponsor of the IMF because I run their websites, but the IMF is wholly run, funded and operated by independent funding and the International Mead Association, and is not a Gotmead event (except in that lots of us attend every year! LOL). They have publicity people who work on getting magazines/newspapers/etc. and doing all the official press for the Festival.

However, feel free (and I hope all y'all will) to talk it up all you want (with links to http://www.meadfest.com) in homebrewing forums where you hang out, so word will get around......
