Is the OG measured before or after liquid yeast pitch?

Hi everyone! I've been a bit confused following using liquid yeast (wyeast 1388) in my mead must. What should I consider to be the OG reading? Let's say I'm shooting for 1.13 as my OG... I get my water, nutrients, and honey in to 1.13. I pitch the liquid yeast and it dropped to 1.12 after taking another reading . Is my OG 1.12 or 1.13?

I measure OG before the yeast slurry is added. Assume you meant Wyeast 1388 liquid yeast......am surprised that this small amount of liquid would lower the O.G. 10 points. But, you measured it and I haven't, so you have the data. :-)

It depends on the size of your batch. If it's a very small batch, say only a bottle then a drop of 10 points might happen. However on average a drop of 10 points requires a substantial amount of water to be added in comparison to the total volume of the must. If we're talking like gallons in volume then a little liquid won't be noticeable with the typical hydrometers we use.
