The Subject Heading says it all: Is K1V-1116 OK For Lees Aging?

I'm experimenting a bit with my third batch of Joe's No-Age Sweet Mead. I intend on taking this one a bit drier (1.010 - 1.005), doing the Potassium Metabisulfate / Sorbate thing, and then let it sit on some oak for awhile. If K1V-1116 is OK for Lees Aging, I'll just let it sit on the lees and the oak together for about a month before racking. If not, I'll rack and then let it sit on the oak.

Thanks in advance for your help fellow mazers !

I've corresponded with Clayton Cone (Lallemand's yeast guru) and according to him the K1 is just fine for lees aging.

Hope that helps,

Oskaar

Thanks Oskaar .... I thought you might chime in - While you were responding to my post I did a search (yeah, I know ... should have done that FIRST) and came across this reply from you back in November regarding which lees are OK to age with:
