I had 4 g of mead that had been racked off in a glass carboy for 3 months after a little over a month in a primary fermenter. While I was bottling it yesterday I realized I was a couple bottles short and had to go old school with some mason jars. They were brand new and quickly run through some star san solution to sterilize. Do I need to get some bottle and rebottle or are the mason jars good enough for a flat non carbonated mead to age in?
My uncles ran stills when I was growing up and I spent a lot of time filling mason jars.
