Folks,
Those of you who have actually read the home entry rules for this year's competition have already noted that we have removed restrictions on bottle size/shape/closure/color/markings/etc, this year, because we're going to be set up to do blind pourings for the judges. HOWEVER, please note that the number of bottles required for a "full entry," that is one that could potentially go through to the Best of Show round, is still 3 bottles for 12 oz and larger, and with a minimum of 4 for 10 oz. and smaller sizes.
The bottom line is that even though we're set up for the blind pourings this year, we are not able to support re-capping/corking/zorking/whatever in between rounds, so even though a 750 contains twice the volume of a 12 oz beer bottle, we cannot guarantee that your open first round bottle will survive to the next round, and so on.
So, in order to be considered a full entry, send 3. If you send only 2 and you otherwise would have been considered for a BoS slot, you'll receive our most heartfelt condolences, but no further consideration.
