I would love to watch the telecast. And, as I said, will be there in spirit(s). Hee

Sorry all. Workers signed an agreement to not to post during the event. *oops*
I highly encourage anyone that wants to know how it goes to volunteer next year!

Maybe they should move it to Stonehenge next year....
If you'd been there, you'd know that it would take forever Doug, just getting past it on the A303 can be a rather long and involved event...... Probably better asking if you could pitch tents at Amesbury, just down the road - but we'd likely have to register as a religious group as English Heritage can be a strange bunch and it's usually only the druid types that get in.....

Hmmmph. I haven't met An official I can't convince. Everyone wants to be on TV.

Exactly, so you should remember from your time at the Beeb what it's like dealing with mega conservative, public school educated (British version of "public" school, not US), chinless pillocks. With their mono-tone answers in a "received pronunciation" accent.......

"Oh, I say, erm, no, erm, no definitley won't do old chap. Got to keep the plebs away from the culture haven't we, they'd want to........ well, erm, photograph it and the like. Wouldn't want any flash camera lighting damage to the stones would we, erm, no, er sorry"! or of course, words to that effect (all in 1950's BBC english, as alluded to above).....

Or of course the threats to "scoop your eyes out with a spoon" a la Alan Rickman or Steve Berkoff........
